January: Voluntis moves to new offices in Suresnes.
May: Voluntis wins the eEurope Awards for eHealth 2004.
June: Release of Medpassport 2.0, featuring major new platform functionalities.
July: 2000 patient records managed with Medpassport.
November: Voluntis' clients include Abbott, AJD, Aventis, AstraZeneca, Bayer, CNES, Pfizer, Respironics and Roche.
December: Pfizer selects Voluntis as its strategic partner for international PRM projects.
 
 

2003

February: First Medpassport license sold to AJD to power the Diabcarnet program. Leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies involved in diabetes care join the program.
May: AstraZeneca selects Medpassport to power the Medisouffle program as part of an exclusive agreement in the French asthma sector.
June: Diabcarnet hits the headlines on French TV in the Télématin program.
August: 1000 records from diabetes patients managed with Medpassport.
October: Pierre Leurent is King of Innovation by the Management magazine.
 
 

2002

January: Voluntis is selected as one of France's best 10 start-ups in the health care sector by the Aventis Foundation.
May: Voluntis wins the prestigious entrepreneurship award from the Jacques Douce Association.
June: Completion of a seed round of funding with business angels.
July: First trial of Medpassport by AJD, the French juvenile diabetes association.
 
 

2001

January: Pierre Leurent comes back from Silicon Valley to start Voluntis, after 2 years spent developing web-based medical records for major US hospitals. He is willing to create Voluntis to address the unmet needs of the fast-growing market of chronic disease management.
October: Foundation of Voluntis in Paris by Pierre Leurent, Romain Marmot and Etienne Vial, 3 MS graduates of Ecole Centrale Paris. The development of the Medpassport software begins.
November: Voluntis is awarded as one of the Best 40 European start-ups at Capital IT.
December: Voluntis sets up its offices in the newly created incubator of Ecole Centrale Paris.
